Hi everyone, Sam here, maker of nodal. I built nodal because I hate manual time tracking. As a developer working across multiple repos and branches, I kept forgetting to start timers, or I was guessing my hours at the end of the week. None of the existing tools really fit how developers actually work. nodal watches the Git branch you’re working on in your IDE and automatically builds a timeline of your work sessions. No manual timers, no interruptions. The goal is simple: make time tracking accurate enough that you can bill from it without thinking about it. Right now nodal: • tracks time per Git branch • detects activity from your IDE • groups sessions into billable work blocks • runs locally and keeps data private Would love feedback from other developers who bill clients.
