For us it was a great hassle back then to find a name for our app with a suitable domain. Could have saved us some trouble back then I guess :) I just tried it out. I'd love to have a couple more customisation options such that the suggestions are more in line with what I am trying to go for.

Hello Product Hunt! 👋 We're finally done building the first MVP of Name Lantern and wanted to share here for some early feedback. It is a web tool that helps you generate and find available domains for your startup or project. Our API uses DNS records, WHOIS servers, cached data, and a collection of 3rd-party services to generate and suggest available domain names based on a keyword from the user. This project is still in very early development, so things might break anytime. All feedback is welcome, thanks! 🙏

I get error messages every time I search but seems like a cool idea!

@amont_ Same here, seems the API is missing it's CORS header. At least that's what my console in FireFox is complaining about.

@amont_ our API was not ready to handle so much concurrent traffic, but it should be working now 👍
