If you’ve seen Inside Out, you already understand the idea: emotions can be characters. MyMallow lets you create those characters yourself. Instead of predefined moods, you draw your own textures, apply them to a 3D figure, and assign motions—or capture your own movements—to express how you feel. Each diary entry becomes an animated character shaped entirely by you. Rather than telling you what your emotions look like, MyMallow gives you the tools to define and animate them on your own.

We didn’t set out to solve a pain point in the usual sense — this project began as a technical curiosity. We were exploring what could be done with RealityKit, iOS’s 3D framework, and kept asking ourselves: how can we make something meaningful with this technology?
That question gradually shaped MyMallow. Instead of building rigid character presets, we decided that users should drive the content themselves — drawing their own textures, customizing 3D characters, and animating motion (including via motion capture) — so the app becomes a personal reflection tool rather than just another mood tracker.
As we built out models, animation systems, and integrations like ARKit body tracking, the project evolved from a tech experiment into a creative space where people can visualize and animate their emotions in 3D.
We’re excited to see how the community uses these tools — especially in ways we didn’t imagine ourselves.
