Nice work, @chaficnajjar. This reminds me of the silly doodles and "stories" I used to make in Powerpoint when I was a kid.
Thanks, @rrhoover! I also used to make silly doodles as a kid but with a more low-tech medium, flip books, and the main character was a vicious squirrel :p
Hi @chaficnajjar, are you going to make a functionality that allows us to implement such comics http://www.sbs.com.au/theboat/ in future
Hi @gorelics, the original inspiration for creating this project were the "motion comics/manga" I saw on YouTube such as this one:
These videos were a lot more enjoyable to read/watch than the page by page uploads of these comics. Thanks for letting me know about http://www.sbs.com.au/theboat! This is the first time I see this kind of digital storytelling and I really like it. Do you know any other similar comics you can send my way? And to answer your question: yes, I (now) plan to make the functionality to implement such comics in the future. I created a twitter account for webcomic.app (https://twitter.com/webcomic_app) where I'll keep posting about improvements to webcomic.app, so you can follow it to know where the project is headed. Thanks for your interest and for taking the time to write your comment :)
@gorelics Nice, many thanks! I really like how easy it is to navigate across comic panels in the Walking Dead comic. The Peugeot comic looks and sounds so good. Personally, I don't like having to scroll to navigate the comic but the autoplay makes bearable although the transitions could be faster. First comic looks cool too, it's the first time I see one made with Unity. I like how interactive it is. Thanks for giving me many ideas :D
@chaficnajjar, I will wait for the new cool stuff ;)
Upvoted because you featured Shingeki No Kyojin!
Haha, thanks @aaron_kazah! I should have gone with Dragon Ball Super though, the Shingeki No Kyojin panels were a pain in the ass to cut out because of all the overflowing sound effect text ;)
The best interactive comic that I saw from the game "What Remains of Edith Finch" https://youtu.be/IZIIodLyQfY?t=44
Looks awesome, I'll have to check it out :)
