Workspace organization like you have never seen before! Organize your windows and make the most out of your workspace without sacrificing simplicity! 🤩🖥 Try it now, for free! https://mosaic.rcopstein.com/
Hi @congnc, my main focus while developing Mosaic was to provide a simple, elegant, and straight-forward solution that fits the workspace of both professionals and less tech-savvy users. Besides window managing, Mosaic allows you to customize the space between windows - which leads to a less cluttered experience - as well as move windows to other positions relative to their current location. Both, to the best of my knowledge, are not available in similar products :)

@congnc@rcopstein - Exactly the question I was thinking.
Thanks for covering off this!
Looks like I might be switching from Magnet, which has served me well for years and years.
If you don't use a product like this - YOU NEED TO START! It's life changing. I can never go back to not using one.

@rcopstein If you are referring to the buffer spacing, the utility 1Piece has that feature https://app1piece.com/ as does Amethyst but that one is a tiler so not quite the same.
In service of future readers, my (very) quick comparison:
(this) Mosaic:
- More intuitive initial approach
- fewer permissions requested
- very nice startup tutorial
- low impact, focus on snapping-based layout
(the other) Mosaic:
- Far more customizable, but higher learning curve
- including saved groups, customizable regions
- needs more permissions
- Cost? (I get it through SetApp so not sure)
Summary (my own opinions!):
- Want quick, design-considerate snapping at a great price? (this) Mosaic
- Want to tweak like crazy (including layout groups and custom regions and who knows what else) but don't mind figuring it all out first? (the other) Mosaic
Kudos on the simplicity and user experience!
Hi @rgoodwin, other than the same name, this Mosaic is not related to Lightpillar's. Thank you for trying it out and for your comparison! I think it is a great summary of both products! If you have any suggestions on how to improve the app, please let me know :)

Hi Rafael, just trying it out now.
Congratulations on releasing an app! I love window managers. Can I comment on the default keyboard shortcuts: besides the ones with arrow keys, they don't seem to make logical sense. Is there a way to change them?
Hi @jasonology, thank you! Right now there is no way to customize the keyboard shortcuts, but that should come in a future update (which is included for both trial and full users)! The idea behind the keyboard shortcuts is that they reflect the position the window is going to take on the screen: quarters are on four opposing corners, halves are on opposite sides, and so on...
Hello Product Hunt,
I'm happy to announce Mosaic by @rcopstein, a brand new window manager for macOS! 🥳
Mosaic makes it simple to enjoy the most out of your screen by neatly organizing your windows for you. Side-by-side, in thirds, quarters: you name it! Pick and choose from 17 available regions! 😮
Just drag and drop your windows and they will snap into place: it's as easy as that. Don't want to take your hand off of your keyboard? Global shortcuts leave organization at your fingertips! 🙌
With a focus on simplicity and minimal design, Mosaic is made for the everyday user. Productivity is everyone's right!
Mosaic is available now with a 15-day free trial! Exclusively for Product Hunt supporters, you can get a full license for only $0.99 using the link: https://mosaic.rcopstein.com/che.... 🤩
Give it a try! Any feedback is appreciated!
Enjoy!
Hi @chrismessina, indeed it does! Having regions on the menu bar is a tested and approved approach by many window managers. Despite that, I do encourage you to try Mosaic for its focus on simplicity, aesthetics, and user experience. I hope you enjoy it! 😊

Thought this was an updated version of an app I already use, also called Mosaic and that also does the same thing as this app: https://www.lightpillar.com/mosa...
Two apps in the same space with the same name might be problematic – You should look into that.
Hi @andrewdavidj, thank you for you comment. This has been brought up before and I am looking into it. Rebranding is definitely not an easy job, hence why it hasn't yet happened.
Meanwhile, in order to mitigate that, I've been referring to (my) Mosaic as "Mosaic by @rcopstein" (I changed the name here to reflect that. Thank you for the heads up!).
I do encourage you to give it a try. There's a 15-day free trial available to all users. I focus on the aesthetics and simplicity of the app, which you may like. Otherwise, feedback is always appreciated 😊

Very nice! Only one feature I miss from competitive products... resizing windows back to previous size when you move them out of their snapped position.
