Hi everyone! After 5 months of building, we're here! Thanks for checking out Morsel, a recipe-sharing software for your friends and family. Caroline (@morsel) and I had the idea after a long week of work - we wanted to reward ourselves with my mom's famous chocolate chip pancakes 🥞 on Saturday morning, but the recipe was nowhere to be found in my text threads, emails, or screenshots -- and my mom wasn't available to get ahold of... FRUSTRATING. 😤 We needed a better way to organize and save our family recipes without relying on mom's fragile, faded recipe cards. Cue -- Morsel. A place where you can create unlimited groups, invite group members, and upload recipes to live on digitally for generations to come. We currently offer a Free trial for 30 days, so give it a try. Your feedback and questions are encouraged -- Thanks for stopping by! 😊

@ianhoyt Congratulations! I'm super excited that more people will check the app today. We've helped Ian to build the product. If you see any bugs or issues - this is my fault :)
Ian Hoyt
@oleg_kalyta1 Thanks Oleg to you and your team, we couldn't have done this without you all.

"Turn old, impossible-to-read family recipe cards into an online family cookbook that you can use for generations to come." Or in 1-10 years when this startup shuts down, whichever comes first.
Ian Hoyt
@bjorn any constructive feedback on how we can mitigate this concern for you and future users? We offer exports of a user's recipes anytime so they can always back up their recipes in a CSV as well as they have the option to order a physical cookbook of their recipes if they would like. Being bootstrapped and wholly founder-owned, we have no intention of this startup going down the tubes. If that unlucky day ever did come -- the safety of each user's recipes would be the #1 focus first.

So fun to see others creating and sharing recipes on the platform!

This is such a cool idea! I could definitely see myself using it with my multi-national family that spread all over the world. Does it support the ability to upload pictures and video into your recipe?
Ian Hoyt
@mitkoka Thanks for the input! We have pictures already as part of the feature set, video and audio memos are on the horizon too! :)
Alexander Young
as much as I throw together ingredients and write nothing down - lord knows I needed this lol
Ian Hoyt
@alexander_young2 preach! Thanks for checking it out. How do you manage the chaos now if at all?
Dragos Bulugean
This is awesome. Fun fact: I talked with some friends who keep their recipes from their grandmother in a notepad and want to pass them along. Good luck with the launch!
Ian Hoyt
@dragos_bulugean Thanks for checking it out and sending it along to your friends. I hope this is a bit more reliable of a solution than a notepad ;)
