My name is Bert Timmermans and I'm the creator of Momently.
I spend around three years tinkering with this app in my free time and I'm so happy to finally share it with the world.
Momently is a private and beautifully designed journaling app for housing all the precious moments in your life.
Featuring a simple but carefully designed interface, Momently will make it super easy for you to capture and store the memories you want to keep.
Even finding older moments can be done with just a few simple taps, making looking back at those special memories even more fun.
Some of Momently's key features are:
• Truly Private
Momently does not store or keep track of any of your private information. All your data is safely stored on your device, and you can choose to use iCloud to save a private backup in the cloud in case things go wrong.
• Trips
You can capture your adventures like never before simply by grouping moments into trips. Make your trips stand out even more by adding a stunning cover photo that blends in seemingly with the rest of the interface.
• Places
Create or add places to your moments to keep track of the places you have visited. View them on an interactive map and maybe rediscover places you might have forgotten.
• Profiles
When creating moments you can add people to each of those memories. You can view each person's profile and relive all those incredible moments you have shared.
In short, Momently helps you make every moment count.

Momently looks gorgeous and is really fun to use – congratulations on the launch 👍
Before committing to use a journaling app for the long run I always have some questions (and sadly need to stick with Day One because nothing has yet ticked all my boxes, despite really not enjoying it anymore)
Do you have plans to:
- support importing and exporting entries?
- offer a Mac app
- support audio in entries
I understand that is a lot to ask for a side project made by a single person.

Momently was never designed to directly compete with Day One. Day One has indeed the most features and is a real work horse when it comes to journaling. I tried it to but found that the UI feels very dated and it does not put the focus on your content.
Features like importing and exporting are things that I can look into. I would love to design an build a more universal version of momently which runs on iPhone, iPad and MacOS but that is indeed quite the undertaking. Audio is also interesting but not sure how this might fit in Momently.
Anyway I will keep updating Momently over time and do hope to grow the app!

Congratulations on your launch, do you plan to launch a free version in the future?
@ksenijaluskina currently I'm not planning a free version. It would be great to at least make back the money and time I put in the creating and developing the app.

@diana_sfera actually Momently is the opposite of a social network. Your moments are only visible to you and nobody else will be ever able to see them. The profiles you see in the screenshots are generated based on the information you add to each moment.
