three-finger trackpad gestures for middle button emulation

Professional 3D software expects middle-mouse-button navigation. MacBook trackpads don't have one. For years, CAD users on Mac have been forced to either carry an external mouse, use awkward four-key modifier combinations, or fight with unreliable workarounds. Forum threads dating back to 2017 are filled with users pleading for a solution. MiddleDrag fixes this. Three-finger tap for middle-click. Three-finger drag for middle-drag. Works alongside Mission Control and other system gestures.

For 7 years, CAD forums have been filled with Mac users pleading for trackpad-friendly 3D navigation. FreeCAD gestures misfire constantly. OnShape only supports force-click. ZBrush has zero multi-touch support. SketchUp expects you to hold Ctrl+Cmd+Shift while dragging. The solutions that exist? BetterTouchTool is $22 and overwhelming. The Middle app costs $8 for something that should be free. MiddleClick requires terminal commands. I built MiddleDrag because I got tired of carrying a mouse to coffee shops. It uses Apple's private MultitouchSupport framework to intercept touch data before the system processes it, so three-finger gestures work without disabling Mission Control. It's open source (MIT), installs via Homebrew in one command, and does exactly one thing well. Would love feedback from all!
