I could have used this in High School. Not only does it give you the answer, but it writes out how to get there so you can "show your teacher your work." ;)
Tom MaxwellHunter@tomaxwell
@rrhoover Yup, haha. That's why I shared it. Now I'm thinking damn, I wish I found this when I was in high school. It's actually better than Wolfram Alpha in that you don't have to learn their complex syntax to enter your math problems.

This is intuitive. I've mostly been using Wolfram|Alpha to help solve math problems.
Tom MaxwellHunter@tomaxwell
@NikkiElizDemere Definitely a lot easier to use than Wolfram

I absolutely would have abused this in high school and college. Unfortunately we don't live in an ideal world @ghobs91
Tom MaxwellHunter@tomaxwell
@everette I totally would have too. Would have allowed me to sail through math class.

In an ideal world, students would use this to better understand the math problems they're solving if they get stuck. In reality, most will probably use things like this and wolfram alpha to do their hw for them, as @rrhoover is implying :). Maybe I'm just overly cynical.

@ghobs91 nope. you're probably right on the money.
Tom MaxwellHunter@tomaxwell
@ghobs91 Definitely true. Wolfram Alpha has a bit of a learning barrier with its complex syntax and Mathway allows you to enter in the problem with all standard symbols and spits out instructions and answers.

we need more math literate kids coming into this world not less lol .. but probably would have used this in school
