I’m happy to announce that I just launched my second book, Mastering Freelance! I’ve been working on this book of previously unreleased content for over a year and it’s been a totally different experience from my previous book. It’s a completely different topic and a whole new audience. Challenging, but fun. Mastering Freelance is a guidebook for those who are starting their freelancing journey, but are still unsure about all of the bits and pieces that are necessary. In this book I cover things like finding your reason for freelancing (important), how to get your first clients (even more important), and what to charge them (really really important). I’ve poured 10 years of freelancing experience into this book, so I know that it’ll help you take confident steps towards success. Mastering Freelance is intentionally short; it’s just under 100 pages. I believe that anyone can write a long book, but keeping it short and to the point allowed me to keep it to the point. A song doesn’t get better if it’s 10 minutes long versus 4, it’s just…longer. I’ve also included a list of all the tools I use to run my business along with great discounts! This includes tools like Cushion, Timely, GoSquared, Creative Class, DigitalOcean and many more. Combined savings are more than $400/year! I want to be clear that this book is not one of those “How to turn your freelancing into a six-digit money machine while only working four hours per week” because… well, I don’t believe that. I believe that money comes from work and nothing else. What this book WILL help you with is choosing your own path and finding out what works best for you. I’m guessing that one of the reasons that you want to freelance is to make your own choices, so let’s make sure that the choices you make actually are yours. If you want to read more about this book, head over to : link to read more (and hopefully purchase it!) Bonus: As a big fan of ProductHunt, I’m giving hunters 10% off for the next 24 hours. Just use the code producthunt to get the discount!

It might seem odd to recommend one's own product. Sure, I get that. But I truly believe that this book will help anyone that's just getting started with freelancing.
