@rrhoover ✨✨✨

@rrhoover Yeah we get that a lot and we love it. I'm really unclear if I'm allows to say that though. He who shall remain nameless, as it were. If you can have Ms. Rowling reach out that would be much appreciated.

Next step would be to do the same thing, but with the tiny 3d-printed figurines :)
Roderic Campbell
@kay_larina I’m in. That could be super cool. I do believe LEGO has something like this going on where certain structures are recognizable once built.

@roderic what a time to be alive 😮

Hello Hunters, @sprynmr and I have been working hard on an Augmented Reality experience that we’re really excited about. MagicPhotos aims to bring your home videos back to the forefront by overlaying them onto real photos around your home. It works by taking a single printable frame from a video of your choice, then using Image Detection to find the printed frame. You can print the photos at home, or, if you don’t have a printer or are out of ink you can use our print service. We’ve been sharing this with individuals for a few months now and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. We're opening this up to the masses today and we would love to hear what you think. I wish I could be there with you to see see your reaction when you first experience one of your own videos in AR. Please let me know if you have any questions or feedback on what you’d like to see in this app. The hardest part for us is getting people to that WOW moment that you are about to experience. If you've got thoughts on great experiences describing that we are all ears. Let me know in the comments if you're interested and I'll DM you some sweet sweet AppStore promo codes.

@sprynmr @roderic This is incredible - like something out of a sci fi movie
Roderic Campbell
@sprynmr @abadesi It's pretty cool. The possibilities are vast.

Have been testing our MagicPhotos for a week, such a great use of ARKit. Love the neat extra touches, like the volume of the video increasing the closer to the photo you are. Excited to see future additions to the experience, especially ways to share with friends and family.

Pros:

Awesome new way to relive video memories in AR.

Cons:

None yet

Been beta testing MagicPhotos for a while, and it seriously is magical. The demo video doesn’t do it justice... the moment one of your picture frames comes to life really does feel like something out of Harry Potter, and everyone who sees it has their socks blown off. Awesome work guys. 😎💯
Roderic Campbell
@schukin Thank you thank you.
Cam Crain
This is the kind of AR I'm excited about! Any way to get rid of that tiny white loading flash before the pic starts moving?
Roderic Campbell
@camcrain We're working on it! Give us a release or 2.
Jacqueline von Tesmar
Is this going to be available on an phone as well as tablet as shown?
Roderic Campbell
@jacqvon Yes this is available for iPhones and iPads that support ARKit
