Hey Product Hunt! ๐Ÿ‘‹ Like most of you, my desktop is a graveyard of 1000+ screenshots, dsada.png, and PDFs I swore I'd read later. So I 'vibecoded' this simple DesktopDeclutter. Itโ€™s a native macOS app that brings the 'Swipe Left/Right' mechanic to your file management (just like Tinder). ๐Ÿงน Swipe to Bin / Keep ๐Ÿ” Auto-detect duplicates & large files ๐Ÿ“‚ Smart grouping for batch review โŒจ๏ธ Keyboard shortcuts for speed Itโ€™s 100% Free and Open Source on GitHub. Feel free to report bugs, suggest improvements, submit pull requests, fork and modify for your needs! Happy swiping! ๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ

@kamilstanuchย Hey I can relate! It's not just my desktop though but my downloads need decluttering too! I would love to try but I am on Windows. Any plans to have this decluttering magic work on downloads, documents, photos etc also have it available for Windows users too?

Nice to see a Mac app here, I think this one solves a real problem. I've been tempted many times to create something for Mac myself but I have not yet had an idea this good, and iOS tends to draw to much of my attention right now.

Nice work :)

@marcus_fribergย thanks Marcus! I'm not a Swift developer myself, just played around with Cursor so thought: "let's give it back to community" ;-)

Marcus Friberg

@kamilstanuchย that sounds like a Swift developer to me, a highly automated one perhaps but still ;-) Cursor is just the tool you used :P
