Lume is a native Windows notes app (WinUI 3, no Electron) that stays hidden until you need it. Shake your mouse or press a shortcut, write, and press Esc — it’s gone. Beyond quick notes: a scratchpad that does maths as you type, freehand drawing on notes, and local-first storage with optional OneDrive sync. Free for up to 20 notes. Reading, search and export always stay free.

Like the subtle UI. Pretty elegant :)
@busmark_w_nika Thank you! The UI took more rounds than anything else, so that means a lot. Hope the minimalist phone launch went well too.
no electron is the real selling point for me honestly, half my ram usage these days is just notes apps idling. does the shake gesture ever false-trigger though? I drag windows around fast enough sometimes that it'd probably look like a shake to whatever's listening.
@galdayan Good question, and that exact case was the first thing I tested. While any mouse button is held down, the shake is ignored, so dragging windows around never opens it. It also needs about five even back-and-forth strokes in roughly the same spot within ~1 second, so a fast flick or overshoot doesn't count. It's off over fullscreen apps too. If it still feels too eager, there's a sensitivity setting (or you can turn it off and just use the shortcut).
And yes, the RAM thing was a big reason to go native.
@henrycauan that's a well-thought-out threshold, the mouse-button-held exception specifically is the detail that tells me you actually tested this against real usage instead of just a demo gif. sensitivity setting as the escape hatch is the right call too. good luck with the launch
