Auto-capture development logs for Claude Code

The idea is simple: pipe your command through logifai, and Claude Code can search your logs directly. npm run dev 2>&1 | logifai Hit an error → just ask Claude "what went wrong?" It captures everything into structured NDJSON, has a Web UI with live streaming, and includes a Claude Code Skill so Claude can search your logs. It also has a Log Reference feature — select lines in the Web UI, click "Copy Ref", paste a compact logifai:// URI into Claude instead of hundreds of log lines.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Tomoya, and I'm excited to share logifai with you today! The Problem: We've all been there – you're coding with Claude Code (or any AI assistant), an error pops up, and you have to scroll through your terminal, copy the log, paste it back, and ask "what went wrong?" I was doing this 10+ times a day, and thought: "Why am I manually feeding my AI assistant the logs it should already have access to?" What logifai Does: logifai automatically captures your dev logs (from npm run dev, cargo run, etc.) and makes them searchable by Claude Code with natural language. No more scrolling, no more copy-pasting. Just ask Claude: "What was that error 5 minutes ago?" or "Why did the build fail?" – and it knows. How It Works: 1. Wrap your dev command: `npm run dev 2>&1 | logifai capture` 2. logifai saves everything to ~/.local/state/logifai/logs/ 3. Claude Code can now search your logs automatically (via Skills, no MCP needed) Why I Built This: This actually came from Claude Code GitHub Issue #13865 where the community asked for exactly this feature. I realized the ecosystem needed a lightweight, open-source solution that works today – not in 6 months. What's Next: - Phase 2: SQLite FTS5 for blazing-fast search - Phase 3: MCP server for advanced features (semantic search, anomaly detection) I'd Love Your Feedback: - Does this solve a pain point for you? - What other features would make logifai indispensable? - Any bugs or rough edges? (It's early days – be gentle! 😅) Special for PH Community: Early adopters who try logifai this week and share feedback will get: - Shoutout in README - "Early Adopter" badge (when we add them) - First access to paid features (when we launch them) Thanks for checking it out! Drop a comment or question – I'll be here all day answering everything 🚀
