Hi, I'm Jordan. 👋 I built Limelight because I was tired of spending more time looking for something to watch than actually watching it. Between juggling multiple streaming apps, checking which platform has what, and endlessly scrolling through recommendations that never felt personal. I looked for apps that could help, but everything I found was either riddled with ads, had a clunky interface, or just wasn't easy to use. So I decided to build the app I wished existed. I started building Limelight in my spare time as a solo indie developer. No team, no funding, no venture capital — just a lot of late nights/weekends working on solving that problem. Limelight gives you an ad-free, delightful experience that helps you find movies and TV shows to watch. Search for any title and instantly see where it's streaming, available to rent, or available to buy. Get personalized recommendations with Just For You, swipe through titles with QuickSort, and compare ratings from Rotten Tomatoes, IMDB, Metacritic, and TMDB side by side. One of the features I'm most excited about is SceneSnap — snap a photo or upload a screenshot of any movie or show and Limelight uses AI to identify what it is, who's in it, and where to watch it.
