The score is built to answer: can a new seller actually break into this niche? So we weight what predicts that from public Shopee data — how hard the market is to enter, where the listing sits on sales, review density as a competition moat, revenue opportunity, and trend.
Seller reputation and shipping matter for your ops later, but they don’t tell you whether the market itself is winnable. A 5-star shop with fast delivery in a locked niche still loses; a beginner in an open niche can win even with average ops.
That’s why we keep the score focused on opportunity structure, not shop polish — so you’re not chasing “good sellers” in markets you can’t enter.
