Goooood morning, Product Hunt community! ♥ I'm thrilled (and albeit nervous) to introduce you to a project I've been working on: Kudo Koala - a developer-friendly customer loyalty platform. After having worked with various customer loyalty platforms over the years, I've ran into pain points for each one that I sought to solve by building Kudo Koala. One of the biggest issues in my experience was a platform's restrictions on where it can be integrated, or lack of documentation and support, or any combination thereof. There've been many times when I've needed to fix something with an old platform, only for the docs to basically tell you that it "just works" out of the box (yay, divs and third-party scripts!), leaving me frustrated with the whole experience. And so, Kudo Koala was born. What initially started off as a joke between myself and some developer friends, quickly spiraled into something that became more viable, eventually turning into a software that we enjoy working with. I've built it with developer teams in mind: it's a nice balance between a done-for-you solution, while also letting you get as granular as you'd like, putting full control of your company's customer loyalty program back into your hands. I figured the best way to start with this project was to build the one aspect of it (customer loyalty points management) and polish it, maintaining focus on getting one thing done right. So while it might not be the most feature-rich loyalty software with all the bells and whistles, it does the thing it was designed for and it does it well. As time goes on, I'd like to add more functionality to it and build it to be far more robust than its current state, but it's finally at a point where I'm happy to show it off to the world. The journey of getting Kudo Koala from a rough idea to a full-fledged piece of software as a solo developer has been quite the experience, and I'm excited to see where it goes from here!
