KiteConnect

Connect people through their stories, not profiles

KiteConnect: Where intention matters more than profiles. Connect through thoughtful messages and build genuine relationships. What’s different: • No profiles as the first point of contact • High-intent writing over low-effort swipes • Slower interactions designed to reduce burnout • Safety-first rules + moderation to prevent misuse Looking for early feedback on trust, safety, and whether this feels meaningful enough to try.

Hey Product Hunt — I’m Txema, maker of KiteConnect. KiteConnect came from a simple frustration: most “connection” apps push us into fast judgments (profiles, swipes, performance) and the end result is burnout, ghosting, and shallow interactions. So we built a writing-first alternative: instead of browsing profiles, you write a short personal story/message (“a kite”) meant for one specific person (past or present). It’s designed for slower, higher-intent connection — with minimal public self-exposure. Safety is the hardest part, so we’re being strict: kites can’t include names or identifying details, and we’re building moderation + reporting rules from day one. We’re doing a private seed release on Jan 15, and a public launch on Feb 14. If you try it, I’d love blunt feedback on: 1) What’s your first concern (trust/safety/abuse)? 2) What would make you feel safe enough to write a kite? 3) What’s the most confusing part of the concept? Thanks for checking it out — I’ll be here all day answering everything.
