I use Kippt on a regular basis as a library of cool bookmarks. They have a great Chrome extension for adding sites you find to your bookmark collection.

Does anyone remember Pearltrees? I feel like this is a (difficult) cultural/community play - meaning growth almost certainly needs to come via social... hard to build those habits from scratch - would be interested in seeing distro mechanisms and the CTR's on those processes.

I use Kippt as well, but I'm keen to move to Inc when it catches up (e.g. mobile view/apps, browser extensions). If more people used Kippt, I think I'd use it in lieu of Twitter a lot more, as it's a better way to have a discussion around a particular link.
