Keyri

Hey everyone! First off, thank you to @katmanalac and @ycombinator for hunting us. @grant_la_count and I are the creators of Keyri. Keyri provides an SDK for mobile apps that enables passwordless sign up/login with a tap in-app and WhatsApp-like login with QR on desktop. It eliminates account takeover fraud by leveraging device-based biometrics and can be used as a primary login method or as a verification layer in high risk scenarios. ---The Problem--- Passwords suck - and we all know it, but up until now alternative passwordless solutions have either imposed too much friction or offered inadequate security. From email/text one-time passcode (OTP), to authenticator apps, to email magic links, these solutions impose additional friction and still lack the security required to protect accounts from basic hacking methods. Physical solutions, such as Yubikeys, offer strong security but impose a high level of friction that renders them unusable for most consumers. ---The Solution: Keyri--- Keyri was built from the ground up to be the ideal authentication solution, meeting both the ease of use and security requirements for widespread consumer adoption. Keyri’s SDK is flexible and can be embedded into any app to: ✅ increase security and trust amongst any company’s customers ✅ act as a primary auth solution or a high risk verification solution ✅ end account takeovers ✅ nullify account selling ✅ nullify multiple account creation ✅ eliminate account sharing ✅ substantially reduce bot activity ---About us--- In 2013, my 2FA-enabled crypto exchange account was hacked, highlighting the weakness of traditional 2FA methods. Later as a research fellow at Duke University, I built an authentication layer for distributed computing clusters currently used across 25+ top universities. After meeting Grant during our time in investment banking, we built Keyri, which is inspired by the architecture of that system, wrapped in a user experience that can be deployed across the consumer-facing web. Congrats on the launch! It looks like a very interesting product solving a real problem around proper app security. It's not something I can jump on today, but i'll keep it on my radar for the near future. Congrats again! 🍾
