What do you think? …

Maia Bittner
Has this been shut down now?
Joseph Estrada
@maiab I've been wondering the same thing. Did you ever get an answer to your question?
Freeman LaFleur
Hey everybody, I'm one of the co-founders of Kangaroo. Kangaroo helps teams of any size utilize the start stop continue feedback system. @Mgallizzi and I will answer questions here. Thanks for taking a look!

Hey, @freemanlafleur! I like the email-first approach. It's simple and reminds me of iDoneThis. I'd love to hear from people that have used it. I can see it being very useful but it could also result in awkwardness if feedback's not carefully crafted.
Freeman LaFleur
@rrhoover Thanks! iDoneThis is a great model of simple concept and execution. We definitely took some inspiration from them. We're working on several different possible solutions to awkward feedback. We may implement feedback templates or an abuse reporting feature.

YES! We really need to add embedded, animated GIF support to the discussion. :) @mgallizzi, @freemanlafleur - how'd you come up with the idea?
DAVE MORIN
I like this idea. Signing up.
Freeman LaFleur
@rrhoover GIF support sounds dangerous ;) The idea came about pretty organically. @mgallizzi and I attended a lunch and learn where the speaker briefly mentioned the value of the start stop continue feedback method and coincidentally I'd just read this post on 99U: http://bit.ly/1pntHtU about start stop continue. After the lunch and learn we both looked at each other and said, "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Through research we found that businesses were rolling their own hacked together systems for implementing start stop continue and that companies were seeing tangible benefits from using this methodology. We knew that we could build a system that helped businesses of any size benefit from start stop continue. The simplicity and email-first approach was inspired by iDoneThis. The possibility for deeper insights into company culture as data accumulates is what's most exciting to us.
