Ever had technical interviews? My team at Skype just released Interviews on Skype. Best part? No downloads or sign-up required. Have you ever had a remote technical screening where you have to code and talk at the same time? If yes, then you know how cumbersome the process can be. You have two different apps running—the call and a code editor—and you constantly have to switch back and forth between the two apps. We want to help people with this process and interviews on Skype that helps you conduct technical interviews. Interviews on Skype allows you to have a video call on top of a code editor that runs in your Microsoft Edge or Chrome browser (version 32 or above). You just need to go to Skype.com—no app to download. The built-in code editor supports 7 popular programming languages: C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, and Ruby. We have also included built-in syntax highlighting to help prevent syntactic mistakes during an interview.

@kcucchia Feedback noted! We're setting up a framework to easily add more languages!

@renebrandel Wow, this is cool! Is there support for Typescript, too?

Is this the first time Skype's built a feature for a specific use case? Next up: a Twitch competitor?

@rrhoover Microsoft already has Mixer.com - but I guess that shows how popular it is :(

Hm, did you check interviewing.io? I guess they have the pole position for this purpose

What are people’s thoughts on this as a concept? I’m a mechanical engineer so I’ve done CAD tests for interviews but never live. That would be incredibly stressful and in my opinion not that useful to seeing my actual abilities.
