This is the latest from the Inside network of newsletters – a deep dive into podcasting. It has been in private beta for the past couple weeks and is super interesting. As a podcast host (This Week in Startups), I get a ton of value out of this newsletter professionally, and as an avid podcast consumer, it's also super fascinating and helpful to me. @jason So will this help to broaden our respective podcast audience?
I'm a fan of Hot Pod by @nwquah. Subscribing now.
@rrhoover @nwquah my guess is that every important vertical in the world will have two or three notable newsletters. The goal at is to get one of those slots. I think this is newsletter #15 for us... but this is a very important one, as I think podcasting is underreported.
@rrhoover @nwquah Just subbed as well. Thanks for the reco.
@rrhoover Totally agree. Great great publication by @nwquah and based on the first inside edition they are not even close. Totally different style and different level of details and industry knowledge.
TWiS and Inside Newsletters having a baby? Sign me up!
@ryanfeit thanks pal
I'm a huge fan of the inside newsletters, so looking forward to check this out too. Can you maybe share why you decided to create this? What was the pain that you felt as a creator/consumer?
@yuvalkaminka If you love podcasts there is no real way to find great ones other than the rankings, and certainly it's hard to find which specific episode is worth listening to. Additionally, people who are doing this for a living deserve a dedicated publication... i know that after having done 700 episodes i would love to read about what other people are doing to grow and build their podcasts.
Interested to see what kind of content you lean toward (curation of worthy podcasts, state of the industry analyses, both?). The podcasting space has been so fragmented... maybe you guys will be the ones to wrangle it :)
@brendanbeirne that's the concept of newsletters: they make you smarter, faster.
