Every Hyper session includes: • an upfront cost estimate • live spending displayed to the cent • a configurable session budget • enforceable monthly limits • automatic stopping when the cap is reached • loop detection that pauses unproductive execution No surprise invoice. The streaming transparency into tool calls and spend is honestly pretty refreshing, you can actually see where the cents are going. Spun up a sandboxed PR in a test repo and the hard spend cap gave me peace of mind to just let it run.

Streaming every cent plus hard spend caps is a great trust feature for agent workflows. Are you tied to specific model providers, or can users route to their own Anthropic/OpenAI-compatible endpoint? The cost-cap design maps closely to how prepaid inference billing works on the gateway side.

We’re enabling that very soon. Hyper will support BYOK with your own Anthropic/OpenAI-compatible endpoints, and we’re also bringing a completely free local Terminal CLI/TUI that lets you run with your own keys while still benefiting from Hyper’s workflows and orchestration. Stay tuned! 🚀
