Planning a trip with friends is as easy as sending them a link. With live collaborative travel boards, your travel companions can edit your board, add pins to the map and write important notes. Sharing a no-edit view with family is just another link away.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
On last years ski trip, I realised how difficult it was to get my aunt, dad and the rest of the family into google docs to plan a trip with me. I needed something meant for travel and as simple as just sending friends or family a link, no convincing them of signing up or downloading an app. Thats what Holihopper aims to do.
✨ Here's why Holihopper stands out:
👥 Collaboration made simple: Just share a link, and your friends are in! You can all add notes, arrange accommodations, and plan activities on an intuitive, drag-and-drop board. It's like having your travel brainstorming session, but way more organized and fun.
🔗 One link to rule them all: Forget about losing track of plans. One link gives everyone access to the updated itinerary, notes and map, all in real-time. You decide if they should have editing privileges.
🔍 Things to do: Exploring your destination has never been easier, "Things to do" suggests activities and attractions uniquely suited to your location. From iconic landmarks to hidden local spots, plan your journey with insights into the most memorable things to do.
📱 Mobile-friendly: Plan on the go! The mobile version is just as powerful, ensuring you have your travel plans at your fingertips, wherever you are.
Would love to hear what you think and if you could see yourself using it 🌟

Thank you!

Planing anything with friends gets exponentially more difficult for every friend you add to the group 😅 So this is a really neat problem to try and solve!

Wait this is incredible! AND its mobile friendly? Really covered all bases here. Wonderful work. Will definitely use it the next time I'm planning a trip.
?makers This looks nice! I travel a lot but have yet to find a collaborative planner that actually works. The concept seems really easy - love the no sign up link. A couple of things I came across: I wanted to plan a trip across a state, but that wasn't an option. Date picker was buggy. I was a little confused once I got in on where to start outside of the trip advisor suggestions. I'd make the "add activity" button always visible instead of on hover. Would be great if you could just drop a link in as an alt to fill in all the fields.
Will give it a try for my next trip.
@sarah_wright7 Thank you for taking the time with your feedback, much appreciated! Actually glad you mentioned that you got stuck, cause i can see most boards don't have any cards which i just attributed to people trying it out, but perhaps a simple change like making "add activity" visible could help people along, will try it out.
The link idea, would it take the title and description of the webpage and fill in or what would be the ideal use case? I dont think it would be too complicated to implement.
Love the idea. We have been talking about something like this forever! Its so hard to plan trips with friends.
1. Can it integrate with google maps? ( for upcoming trips, it helps to check google reviews and add things to a list. For past trips, i have made lists for every place i visited which i can share with friends but would like an easy place to reference all activities we did so you can share with others too)
2. Is there a way to initiate a trip and make friends sign up. So you don't have to go through the "do you want to join?" kinda conversations.
3. In your cards, any concept of must do vs we can do if we have time?
4. Would be so cool if i could use this place as a trip planner for all the trips i wish to go to. So i keep collecting links to things i want to do when i go there.
Great product though! congrats on the launch! Excited to see how it shapes up!
Oh! So sweet. I've tried to create my own setup for this several times with combination of google map pins and shared docs. This is exactly what I was looking for. I like the clean design and very clear use case.
I have some usability issues with smaller things on mobile, like textfield placeholders not being selected on tap and date pickers not getting values until after finishing. These details matter in a product like this. I recommend doing some basic usability testing just watching your users go through the flow to spot them. The devil is in the details!
Good luck on your launch, looking forward to using it on my next trips to Barcelona!
I love this product! One small note though: when I tried to sign up, it sent me an email from "supabase.io" and it said Confirm your signup. I was a bit confused as I know supabase but was expecting the holihopper name and hesitated to sign up. Also, would love to be able to add multiple locations to one trip. I am going to italy this summer but will not stay in one city and thought it would be cool to add multi city stops. Congrats on your product!
@pamsny Whoops, that's supa embarrassing! I'll look into the email templates.
I actually had a trip to italy with multiple stops, so I'm right there with you, just not sure what the correct implementation is yet, any ideas are welcome!
