I built this after realizing that we got to a point where I'd need to apply for 100+ jobs just for me to maybe get an interview due to the amount of people applying to the same positions as me. And it's a problem to apply manually if you're going for such numbers :( I kept seeing very good students get filtered out while generic resumes passed, just because they matched this thing called ATS. I tried other resume tools, but most just generate nicer-sounding text, which didn't fix the problem. So I started looking at this as a system instead of a document to send, something that needs to work for machines and the reader, so I talked with a lot of hiring managers and their experience in my university and based on their experience and the students I interacted with I built this app you see and called it "HiringMessage" Out of curiosity, do you think ATS is the problem? I get it's meant to try and filter out the high numbers of people who'd apply to one job, or do you think that most people just don't know how to write good resumes + cover letters?
