Hi @jadojodo ! I happen to studied how a starfish could flip over but thought it would be weird for HEXA. So no. HEXA can't flip over itself. Please give it a hand if needed.

@tianqi_s Well, if disaster recovery is one of the goals, I would think it should need that ability.

@jadojodo Indeed. And in fact, HEXA will be a series of products. We will add such ability to the versions dedicated to disaster recovery. As you can tell from its design, this current version of HEXA is for general consumers, being an open development platform and exploring interesting possibilities.

Hi @giuliomagnifico ! I'm worried about that too. But on the bright side, HEXA can also be used for dismantling bombs remotely.

In in my tenure as a busy open source evangelist... and robotics mentor / builder... (TLDR ::: read as a founding OSHWA member and the founder of then KC Open Hardware Society (first OSHWA branch) (Opensource.com author, Make: Blogger, Cofounder of Annual KC Robotics event, FRC, FRL and Battlebot mentor) I think this is awesome and would make a great project that can be for so much. Education being just the tip of the iceberg. I need to read more on your "human mentor" program.
