I kept running into the same problem: every time I wanted to deploy a side project, I had to choose between expensive managed platforms or spending hours configuring CI/CD pipelines. I just wanted to run my app on a cheap VPS without the overhead. So I built Haloy. One YAML file, one command, and your app is live. No dashboards to click through. The CLI-first approach turned out to have an unexpected benefit: it works really well with AI coding assistants. The entire deployment config is a simple, readable YAML file that Claude or Cursor can generate and modify. If you're tired of overengineered deployment tools for simple projects, give it a try. Happy to answer any questions!
