Just pushed an update to this because it wasn't quite ready for prime time so smoothed a few things out. Few things to mention about GIFPaint: - Check the help out, the UI is designed for use with one hand on the keyboard and one on the mouse/tablet - Right mouse button draws the secondary colour, Deluxe Paint style! - All tools work while the animation is playing so hit play and try drawing for some cool effects. - The beta version has a feature to use any GIF as a brush (Stamp tool n the side bar). There are some placeholder presets until I commission some from artists or you can drag any gif file into the box and it will load as a brush. Using those two features you can create something like this in seconds:

This is super cool. Check out the gallery for inspiration (of things I'll never be able to draw). Sassy sonic is my favorite: Massive internet ✋ if someone can create an animated Product Hunt kitty GIF.

Lots of fun. Love the camera capture. Now if you could import an image, this thing would be the biggest time waster I could think of.

@eric3000 You can drag them to the canvas. If it's a JPG/PNG it will load as a tracing layer on the current frame, if it is a GIF it will load the entire animation. I really need to work on tutorials and make this clearer.
