Hey everyone, alex here, the solo builder behind GeoGuessr.ai! 👋 Like many of you, I've spent countless hours watching players like Rainbolt in a state of pure disbelief. That 0.1-second guess of a random dirt road... it just doesn't feel humanly possible. This project started from a simple, obsessive question: is it magic, or is it a learnable system? As an AI developer, I decided to find out. I started building an "AI Coach" to see if I could use modern vision models (like Gemini 2.5 Pro and o3) to deconstruct this genius. The result is GeoGuessr.ai. My goal was to create something that feels like a coach, not a cheat. When you upload a screenshot of a tough round, it doesn’t just give you the answer. It forces you to learn by: First, showing you a detailed breakdown of all the hidden "meta" clues (the specific bollards, the Google car parts, the road line patterns, etc.). Then, making you click to reveal the final inference, which explains the why behind the location. It’s a tool for anyone who is genuinely curious about getting better at the game and wants to train their brain to spot the same patterns the pros do. I've poured my heart into this as a solo project, and I'm beyond excited (and a little nervous!) to share it with the Product Hunt community.
