I’m happy to share this! Gemini 4 Carbon is pushing the boundaries of AI reasoning, cybersecurity, and reliable autonomous execution.
Key highlights:
🔵 State-of-the-art cybersecurity across vulnerability detection, validation, and remediation
🔵 88.2% on SEC-bench Pro and 71.0% on CWE-bench
🔵 Better handling of uncertainty by flagging missing information before acting
🔵 Reliable execution of multi-step plans while respecting project boundaries
🔵 0.0% on Gray Swan’s Indirect Prompt Injection Benchmark
With a focus on frontier performance, stronger alignment, and safety, Carbon aims to make AI agents more capable and trustworthy.
It’s rolling out to cyber defenders through the Fairwind Program, with broader access planned for developers, businesses, and consumers.
Glad to see Google back at the front, but has anybody figured out how to actually access it yet?
The two highlights that matter most to me are the ones that aren't benchmarks: flagging missing information before acting, and respecting project boundaries while running multi-step plans. That's where agents usually go wrong in practice — confidently filling in a gap, or wandering outside the task they were given. The 0.0% on the indirect prompt injection benchmark is encouraging in the same way, but I'll be watching how that holds up once it's in developers' hands more broadly.
@jcbuilds I think thats up to the harness you build around your project. Do you know what I mean? CI rules, Project Hygine docs, clean up scripts, tests etc etc.
attack success rate: 0%!! That should be the first slide, very impressive!
