Hi there, I’m Ann the CMO at FREEKIN'. We work on building a very unique travel community. Why? Because how else we could find unusual non-touristy places if not by sharing among like-minded travelers? We hope to deliver a special atmosphere inside the app and make it as fun as possible. And if you are afraid that "non-touristy" will become "touristy", don't. If more people are motivated to explore remote areas the more traffic will be divided. And plus we plan to stay a "secret freaking travel club" in the future anyway to grow our new travel style and help poor areas of the planet. If you like us and our mission please join us :)

Hey Product Hunt !💃 My name is Kate and I am a bit freaky co-founder of FREEKIN' app. ✔ Would you ditch the five-star resorts for deep-lost villages in Amazonia in a heartbeat? ✔ Are you more curious about reindeer herds in Arctic Siberia or abandoned temples in Cambodia than package tours trudging to the crowded landmarks? ✔ Would you rather camp in The Land of Fire in Argentina by yourself than camp at the all-inclusive bar of some fancy five-star resort? ✔ Are you courageous enough to pass the Darien Gap between Panama & Colombia? For years and years my friends all over the world and I have been traveling independently searching for unexplored and non-touristy places to visit. People like us don’t buy tours and guides, we prefer to emerge deeper into remote areas, do it very consciously and budget-friendly. Preservation of nature and local culture is very important during such travels but more than that it helps poor parts of our planet by bringing intelligence & money to those regions. And so we created FREEKIN' app for building up a new non-invasive travel style among our special community of like-minded people. Right now it's an MVP that looks like a sharing platform on the map. We do manual moderation to preserve the quality of content and chose simplicity.
