Hi Mikhail! Interesting product—venture studios are a new concept for me. Could you explain why a founder might choose to collaborate with a venture studio instead of joining an incubator/accelerator/seeking investments directly? Also, do founders typically bring their own startup ideas to a venture studio, or do they join existing teams and projects within the studio? Thank you and good luck!

@anna_sheronova, thanks for your questions and support! Venture studios differ from incubators, accelerators, or direct investment in a few key ways. First, studios often provide more hands-on support and resources throughout the startup lifecycle. Unlike accelerators or incubators, which usually focus on early-stage growth and might offer short-term mentorship or pre-seed, seed funding, venture studios are actively involved in building and launching startups. They offer a combination of funding, experienced advisors, tech development, operational support and sometimes even pilot clients, which can make the path to scaling smoother. Why founders might choose a studio: - Resources & Expertise: Good studios bring extensive resources and an in-house team, which allows founders to focus on scaling rather than bootstrapping or solo navigation. - Shared Ownership & Risk: Studios often co-found the company with the entrepreneur, sharing both equity and risk. This model can be attractive for founders who want more stability and support from day one. - Iterative Testing: Studios are designed for rapid testing and iteration, which is ideal for founders wanting to validate their ideas quickly with strong backing. Regarding ideas, it depends on the studio's model. Some venture studios invite founders to bring their own ideas, which they help develop and launch. Others have ideas and market insights ready and recruit founders specifically to lead those projects. Some studios like Merantix accept both external and internal ideas.

@mikhail_sidakov thank you for your response! One more question:) How do studios chose founders they want to work with? I mean, if you're a first-time founder with just an idea, it’s unlikely to look attractive to a studio. Is this something your platform helps with?
Mikhail Sidakov
@anna_sheronova thanks for your question! Actually, there are quite good chances to join venture studio as a first-time founder, especially, if you have particular industry insight/expertise and the topic of your idea aligns with studio's investment focus. Yes, that's right, our final goal (if our hypothesis is validated) is to match founders and ventures studios.

Interesting launch! Reminds me of what happens in some newer funds—everyone wants the seasoned founder, but that doesn’t always translate well for t2 or t3 studios. There’s a real gap between expectations and reality, especially if you don't have a strong portfolio to lean on. Flexibility makes all the difference there.Using GenAI to free up talent could be a game-changer if studios can navigate it well. Best of luck Mikhail!
