FluxTranslate brings LLM-powered inline translation to your browser. Unlike Google Translate, it doesn’t just swap words — it preserves tone, and style. Supports custom tone presets, prompt editing, and batch translation.

Cool idea. One blocker for me is the API key requirement. Bring-your-own-key is fine for power users, but it’s confusing for non-technical folks and adds friction at onboarding. Would you consider two paths: 1) plug-and-play with a metered plan or bundled credits, 2) advanced mode for BYOK. A short setup wizard, clear copy about costs and privacy, and sane defaults would help a lot. Do you plan to ship a built-in model or starter credits?
James, thank you for the great suggestion! I’m also aware of the same pain point. At first, I thought the current free version—where users only pay for what they use—was the best option, but as you mentioned, I may have underestimated the hassle of BYOK. I’ll work on launching both a free credit version and a paid version soon, so Starters can use FluxTranslate instantly without the inconvenience of entering API keys. Stay tuned! Thank you.
