Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m David, the indie dev behind FileDrop. I built it because I kept hitting the same annoying loop: I just want to transfer files between devices, but the options were always some mix of cables, accounts, cloud uploads, or messaging apps that compress everything. Sending photos/videos via WhatsApp (or similar) often means losing quality. So I went for a dead simple flow: one device is in Receive mode and shows a QR code. The other device chooses files in Send mode, taps Scan, and the transfer starts immediately. It works phone to phone, phone to computer, and computer to phone, while keeping files in original quality. Thanks for checking out FileDrop. Feedback and edge cases are very welcome, I’m iterating fast 🚀

Quick test request: if you try it, tell me your devices (Android version) + network type (home Wi-Fi, hotspot, office) and whether the transfer was smooth. I’m collecting edge cases.
