It's a pretty significant feature if they're testing it... interesting.
I've started using Twitter like this, rarely keeping retweets up for more than 24 hours, and deleting tweets tweets that are not too relevant onward (to keep my twitter timeline curated) -- makes a lot of sense for Facebook to do this... I like.
