An average salesperson collects around 40 business cards per day at a trade show. With an average trade show lasting 3 days, and it taking an average of 7 minutes to manually transcribe just one card into a CRM, that adds up to a staggering 14.1 hours of post-event data entry per salesperson, per trade show. Having attended many trade shows as part of an exhibitor's team, I experienced first hand the inefficient process of organizing the business cards that are collected by the sales reps: notes and labels handwritten on the back of the cards, splitting the cards into zip lock bags according to the qualification label, making sure no cards are lost on the way back to the office and then the hours and hours of manual transcription of each card and trying to decipher the hand written note on each card into the CRM... This is not only an unnecessarily time consuming process, it is also loaded with risk...what if the contact details are miss-typed, what if a card is lost? This is why we built ExpoWizard.
