@trustfall hey, I was thinking about backing the Encompass, but I heard from multiple sides that brushing multiple teeth at once is not effective - how can I know you are different?

@xerus We appreciate your healthy skepticism. You’re right. Amabrush and other attempts were not effective, and indeed let many people down. So how are we different? First our team: Encompass is designed by seasoned dental professionals and developed by the former Director of Engineering for Sonicare. As a result, Encompass is a true medical device that ensures you get an optimal and uniform cleaning of your teeth—and gums—every time. Second, our approach: Brushing half your mouth at once is a major design and engineering challenge. Simply put our “competitors” did not meet these unique challenges. We’ve spent over 5 years in R&D, and in this process we built, tried and ultimately ruled out the approaches adopted by these other brushes. Their brush heads do not provide adequate coverage, nor do they drive enough power to clean properly. This is because mass and weight or the enemy of vibration. Sonic or vibrating technology, which our competitors utilize, is the wrong approaches when trying to move a larger brush head. Encompass uses a one-of-a-kind, patented air pump system which creates 100 brush strokes per second.
