I started Emigro in 2023 after living in Brazil for a year, having payment problems initially without having access to Pix, and seeing its rapid growth in this time. I knew the pain points and how they were growing as Pix acceptance grew, so I built this solution to help my peers. I've connected with many other nomads in the last couple of years to discuss these types of travel payment problems. I was a solo founder but have recruited a co-founder / CTO to grow with Emigro, who built and launched our current product with me.
