Don't Hit Publish
Does your writing suck? Find out.
Don't Hit Publish will tell you if your blog post is a complete pile of crap or not. And it'll show you what to do about it if it sucks.
Simple, intuitive... excellent tool that go straight to the point of what it promises.Cons:
Any lazy person an choose the 5 stars and get A+ results.
At first glance I was hoping the tool would analyze the content on the post connected via a link of copied and pasted into the tool so it can give accurate info. But it's just a check list of 5 star ratings. You can never be too sure about the result if any button can be clicked.illoh ifeoma has used this product for one day.
Lovely design and grate for sales tacticsCons:
Not really sure if it's useful for anything but sales-based blog posts. Very limited scope and that reduces its usefulness
What if you're using it to inform people, tell a story or to share information? The three motives I have to choose from already kinda tells me it's only useful for marketers or salespeople, not actual writers.Crystal Ortiz has used this product for one day.
Simple and effective, like a checklist should be.Cons:
None that I can see.
I am relatively new to the content marketing game, but this is definitely a tool I can see value in. A simple checklist to follow before you send your content out into the world...and it's free!Corbett Magotra has used this product for one day.
Easy to use, gives you EXACT steps to takeCons:
It doesn't do it for you :)
I'm on the Videofruit team and am so excited for our students to use this tool. It fired me up to go and use it on my blog posts to see how I compared. Great tool to help you get better and more effective at writing so that you can help more people with your content.Jeremy Montoya has used this product for one day.
Easy to grok, easy to useCons:
Would like to see more actionable items re: making blog posts "world class."
Love the idea, as with everything Bryan and the Videofruit team produce. Look forward to additional tips for really amping good content into great content as the tool continues to evolve.Taylor Banks has used this product for one day.
It is easy to use and it points to some important questions that I should ask myself every time before I publish a post.Cons:
I am the one that has to fix my posts. :-)
I used it on some of my blog post titles and realized that the most important point: How it can help my possible client to get through their unique grieving process and find new meaning in life, isn't clear in most of my posts. :-) Great tool to check before I publish in the future.Jacqueline Steudler has used this product for one day.
Very easy to navigate and the specific questions are perfect for the specific type of email it is.Cons:
There are some cosmetic issues like an image overlaid on text.
I really am enjoying it so far; I feel this product will help me be even more focused as I'm writing blog posts and subsequent email copy. What a good reminder to be clear in my communication!Sarah J Callen has used this product for one day.
Nice tool. A "third eye" for my post before I hit publishCons:
I think the number of fields can reviewed and also the star ratings changed to 1 - 10.
I decided to insert a generic post idea and analysed it for "sales generation". The tool scored it 44. This shows I can trust the result of this tool. Thumbs up Bryan, your tool is as useful as your blog is.Wole Ogunlade has used this product for one day.
How to tell your blog post is a winner or loserCons:
no cons yet. I want to use it for a few weeks to gauge my results.
DPI thought my blog headline sucked. The action items were helpful. I think this product will help me to improve my headlines and skyrocked my traffic!desertdweller has used this product for one day.
Star rating perhaps a little clunky.
Simple idea which provides a checklist of items to check against your blog post. The ultimate end game would have an algorithm which reads the content of the post as well to make sure the content itself is written to a high standard (grammer, spelling, content and even SEO).
Also a minor point, some of the actual language used in the questioning doesn't naturally fit a rating response as they are binary (yes/no) questions rather than quantifiable questions.Adam Maidment has used this product for one day.
I love that it's simple to use and has the suggestions at the end about how I can improve.Cons:
My first go got a pass so I don't yet know if this feature is installed but maybe a feedback on the topic
I'm definitely going to be recommending this to others. ☺ Great job as usual 👌👌👏👏 My only regret is that I didn't learn of Bryan & Jeremy sooner.Britney Campbell has used this product for one day.
It's really easy and thought-provoking!Cons:
Didn't notice any
I just tried it out and it immediately showed me what I need to do to make it a stronger post. I will definitely use it with every post from here on out!Rebecca Bertoldi has used this product for one day.
It's easy to use & I'm more likely to publish a post if I know it's good enough to put out there.Cons:
It would be perfect if it could write the perfect post FOR me!
I am a recovering perfectionist. Many things in my business get delayed, put on hold, forgotten about, often because I don't think I can do it "good enough." What I love about Don't Hit Publish is I have an outside, objective measurement of "good enough." I can see saving a lot of time no longer agonizing over each post, tweaking it for days instead of getting my message out there. With that time I can write even more blog posts!Gillian Hood has used this product for one day.
Helps me discover what I can do to create a better blogCons:
would love more indepth help with my writing
the concept for the product is good, but i need help with a blog template or an outline that helps me understand all of the elements that goes into a blog.Ariel Nieves has used this product for one day.
I love that it gives tips on how to make the blog post better. I'm not the best writer yet so that is truly very helpful.Cons:
I've not used it more than once yet, so I'm not sure on this one.
I love that this product is available. Sometimes I feel my posts are great and the ones that are not truly great I usually wonder what would make them better. This is helpful.Amy Smith has used this product for one day.
DHP doesn't do it for you but it clarifies simple next steps to help you narrow the gap between your blog post as it currently exists and your goals for this particular piece.Scott Savage has used this product for one day.
Email with the tips straight to your inboxCons:
Tips are generic
I like the idea of running down a checklist before publishing. Really can help to make you stand back a little and consider what you want to achieve with a post.
While the tips are helpful, they are also very generic and very predictable as they are probably based on your own star ratings in the checklist. Without the app reading and reviewing the actual content, I guess there isn't much more that can be done.Marjan Venema has used this product for one day.
The key questions you answer about your post are very valuable.
The results with a target action items is a great tool for authors.Cons:
Help me understand my (abysmal) score
1. I'd like to get some guidance / feedback on the title.
2. I think it might be interesting to get some "read more" background with the action items. Teach us how put it all together.Jeffrey Davidson has used this product for one day.
Very simple and effectiveCons:
This tool is a great final-check to make sure you've executed on the things that matter when it comes to writing your blog posts. And, if somehow you haven't, it gives to the exact steps you need in order get it there.Bevan Langley has used this product for one day.
Holy Cow! Lightning fast and stupidly easy to input, the advice it gives is like paying for an actual consultant.Cons:
The star rating system is a bit weird... I''d probably prefer not, not-really, kinda, yes, perfect scale
Literally 30seconds of using this app could be the difference between $1000s in sales or a post that is either loved or ignored by the internet..
It's something that i'll always useLiam Donnelly has used this product for one day.
