We created Dateno to make dataset search easier, spam free and data quality minded. Dateno crawls most of the existing data catalogs of open data, geodata, statistical indicators and research data to provide a unified search index.
The biggest problem we tried to solve is that single line search doesn't work when you are searching for datasets. Not so many records have external links, PageRank algorithms don't work either, so we focused on filtered search with as many filters as possible.
Currently it contains:
- 4.9 data catalogs indexed
- 10M records metadata collected
- 13 search filters available
About 30M records will be in the collection by the end of 2024.
It's near real-time search, as fast as possible.
