Rewire junk food cravings using food & brain science

CraveShift is a non-restrictive craving management app built on food science and neuroscience. Instead of calorie counting, bans, or willpower, it helps users understand why they crave certain foods and gently rewire those cravings using science-backed food pairings and habit cues. Designed to reduce food noise, guilt, and rebound eating — without dieting, tracking, or restriction.

Hey Product Hunt! Thanks for checking out CraveShift , excited (and a bit nervous) to share this early access launch. CraveShift started with a simple frustration: Most food apps assume cravings are a discipline problem. So they push restriction, calorie counting, and “control”. But neuroscience and food science say the opposite. Cravings are learned reward loops shaped by stress, habits, dopamine, and food environments. And when you fight them with willpower, they often get stronger. So I asked: 👉 What if we didn’t fight cravings… but rewired them? CraveShift helps you: • Understand why a craving shows up • Identify hidden triggers (time, emotion, routine) • Shift cravings toward satisfying, whole-food alternatives • Do it without calorie counting, guilt, or bans This early access version is intentionally simple. The goal right now is learning — what works, what doesn’t, and how people actually feel using it day to day. If you’ve ever felt stuck between “junk food” and “diet culture”, I’d genuinely love your feedback. Happy to answer questions, take criticism, or just chat in the comments Thanks for being here.
