Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Aleksandr, a QA Lead in mobile game development, and I’m thrilled to share CPU Ranker with you! 🚀 The Problem: If you’ve ever tried managing devices for a mobile game in the Google Play Console, you know how tricky it can be. The main challenge is linking CPU Name to its CPU Model Number, while also understanding the performance of that processor. - Existing websites often show either CPU performance (like Antutu scores) or the relationship between CPU Name and Model Number, but rarely both. - As a QA Lead, I frequently needed to select the right devices for testing and optimization, and this process often turned into a frustrating scavenger hunt across multiple sites. The Solution: That’s how the idea for CPU Ranker was born. At first, it was just a Google Sheet, but it eventually evolved into a web-based tool that allows you to: - Search and filter CPUs by Name, Model Number, Manufacturer, Rank, and even GPU. - Export your filtered results to a CSV file for easy device management in Google Play Console. - See everything in one place: CPU Name, Model Number, Rank, Antutu Score, and GPU. Who is this for? - QA teams and Release Managers working with mobile games or apps. - Developers and testers needing to manage device compatibility efficiently. - Anyone who wants a comprehensive database of mobile CPUs for research or comparison. The Process: This project started as a Google Sheet with the infoCPUs info, but as I refined it, I realized it could benefit many others in the industry. Along the way, I’ve added: - Filters by CPU and GPU manufacturers to streamline searches. - A user-friendly CSV export feature. - A simple and clean design for maximum usability. What’s next? - Adding a second tab for GPU rankings, as sometimes it's easier to pick devices based on GPUs. - Expanding download formats and adding more benchmarks (e.g., Geekbench). - Automating updates to include the latest CPUs and GPUs. - Improving filters by adding Rank and Score ranges. P.S. That's my first pet project an I'm proud to share cpuranker.netlify.app with you!
