I'm James, the CEO of Condorsay, and I'm thrilled to share what Andrew, Dan, and I have been working on with the Product Hunt community. Our intelligent decision assistant pairs human judgment with GPT-3, a powerful AI, to power quick and confident decisions with clarity, focus, and alignment. It can be used for decisions of all types, from "What should I have for lunch?," to "Should we acquire this company?" Here's more on what we're building and why: We all share a big problem. Decision-making is the most important thing that we do, but also a minefield for our energy, productivity, and relationships: - 🙍 In our heads: Analysis paralysis causes increased anxiety, lower productivity, and missed opportunities - 💻 At work: Seemingly endless and definitely pointless meetings, Zooms, and Slack threads cause confusion, groupthink, compromise, and bad outcomes. - 🏠 At home: Our most important relationships suffer from miscommunication, unexpressed emotions, and feeling unheard in decisions both big and small. Despite the obvious importance of good decision-making in our daily lives, we don't really have any good technology to lend us a helping hand. After interviewing over a hundred decision-makers from the smallest startups to the White House, we've built an intelligent decision assistant that removes many of the most damaging barriers to better decision-making: - 💭 Clarity: Structuring all the factors that are important for a given decision can be daunting; there's a reason why companies pay management consultants billions of dollars to do it for them every year. Our AI assistant, powered by OpenAI's GPT-3, helps you brainstorm on nearly any topic, and arrive at a structured set of factors and options that reflect what you value and can be referenced in the future. - 🙅‍♀️ Focus: Making hard choices can be scary, and it's easy to fall victim to gridlock and compromise by avoiding them. Our paired-comparison surveys take advantage of decades of psychometric research to force even the toughest choices in an easy, intuitive, and fun way. - 🙏 Alignment: Endless meetings and Slack threads are loud, confusing, and a sure path towards amplifying bias, groupthink, and compromise. Built for today's remote world, we've specifically designed Condorsay so that you can easily gather input from the people who matter most. We've taken care to build a general-purpose decision-making system that works for individuals and groups of all sizes across decisions of every complexity. See how our team uses Condorsay: https://youtu.be/vUimJAAAZqM You can use five decisions for free, and can gain more by giving us feedback (comment below with feedback from your first use and I'll send you five additional decisions!) We can't wait to see what you decide.

@jimmyeatcarbs congrats on the launch!

Very valuable tool. The opportunities are endless with Condorsay. What use case do you find most interesting?
James Barnes
@zachschleien Thanks! We've found Condorsay to be most useful when you need to get lots of people on the same page -- here are a few really great examples for group decision-making: 👔Should we cancel this meeting? https://condorsay.com/?g=Should%... 🏠Should we move in together?: https://condorsay.com/?g=Should%... 🎥 What movie should we watch tonight? https://condorsay.com/?g=What%20... 🤝 Should we invest in this company? https://condorsay.com/?g=Should%... 🍽️ What should we make for dinner? https://condorsay.com/?g=What%20... 📈 Decide how to allocate marketing budget https://condorsay.com/?g=Decide%...

@zachschleien @jimmyeatcarbs I agree with James here. The solo decision-making option is great but we've seen a lot of value come out of using the multiplayer-mode even just on our own team!

Used it during my son's high school selection process. It greatly reduced our family's collective value clutter and emotional anxiety.

@nihao_ma Thank you for your post! The best part of working on this is to hear how we can be there for people at important moments in their lives. People have used our tool to decide whether to quit their job, whether to keep their dog alive, and yes, which high school their son should attend. So glad we could help.
Andrew Beasley
@nihao_ma So glad to hear that! Reducing any sort of anxiety around a decision is definitely a win!

I had the pleasure of first using Condorsay earlier this year and it has been in valuable for me in making decisions about where I want to focus my time in my consulting business. The tool brings a clarity to the process that I couldn't do on my own.
James Barnes
@katie_harbath Thanks so much Katie!

I love this idea because it helps build understanding, transparency and buy in to the decision making process. Anyone who has driven a decision knows that they can appear complex or opaque to anyone not intimately involved in the decision. This isn't great for building trust, buy in or improving our decisions in the long run. As a PM, running a decision process take a lot of effort and communication to coordinate and synthesize multiple perspectives. Being able to invite everyone in to the process to participate builds trust and understanding. (It also takes a lot of the burden off the decision driver and creates some arms length impartiality). Giving everyone a seat helps stakeholders feel heard and understood which should improve decision making and commitment. Giving transparency into the decision criteria and processes should also help folks no involved in the decision understand how you arrived at it easier. I also really appreciate that it serves as an impartial snapshot of everyone's rationale/perspective. As time goes on, decision and their rationale get lost and no one has time to document in the moment or find documentation later. Having all the criteria and individual evaluation really helps when looking back retrospectively. The design looks clear enough for anyone to use and understand which is great for making the decision accessible. Great work, congrats on the launch.

@adam_barton Thanks Adam!
Andrew Beasley
@adam_barton I really appreciate this thoughtful response and that you're coming at this from a PM's perspective. Transparency and making sure teams (or individuals) have an "impartial snapshot" as you put it are key to moving any decision forward. Thanks for taking the time to use Condorsay!
