Growing up, I had a natural talent for drawing, and art became a personal hobby. I tried to make a few sales, but there were no real structures or platforms to help me understand how to commercialize my work. Over the years, I kept meeting incredibly talented visual artists who, like me, had set aside their art, not because they wanted to, but because they couldn’t find a way to make it sustainable. That realization always stayed with me.

By earning a degree in Economics and pursuing a career in Finance, I gained critical insights into business principles and structures that I later realized could help solve the challenges faced by visual artists.

The turning point came while working full-time. Colleagues who knew I could draw began commissioning me for pieces. When I couldn’t meet demand, I referred my artist friends. That small experience taught me two big truths:

• There are underrepresented artists with incredible talent who just need visibility and structure.

• There are buyers who love art, but don’t know who to trust or where to look.

That was the birth of CompletelyArt: a platform that bridges the gap I once lived through. A trusted space that connects art lovers with Nigerian artists, and finally brings structure to a space that’s long needed it. I built CompletelyArt for people like me: who have talent, but no structure, no platform, and no support. I also built it for people like my previous colleagues, who adore art but do not know where to find talent. Here’s the story behind the platform and why it matters so much to me.
