Turn your complaint emails into formal UK legal letters

Paste your email or WhatsApp thread. ComplaintForge identifies which UK laws have been broken, lays out a timeline and the remedies available, then writes a formal complaint letter or a full Ombudsman pack. The analysis is free. A letter citing the legislation and statutory deadlines gets taken far more seriously than an angry email. Built for leaseholders, renters and heat network residents. Letter 4.99, Ombudsman pack 9.99, one off, no subscription. Not legal advice.

Day 3 update: everything asked for in the comments below has shipped. Saved cases, statutory deadline tracking with an escalation prompt, a WhatsApp parser preview, PDF export of the analysis and evidence upload are all live now.
I built ComplaintForge because writing a complaint that gets taken seriously is harder than it should be. Most people do not know which law protects them, so they send an angry email that gets ignored.
You paste the email or WhatsApp thread. It identifies the specific UK legislation that applies, lays out a timeline and the remedies available, and if you want it, writes a formal complaint letter or a full Ombudsman submission pack. The analysis is free. A letter is 4.99 and the Ombudsman pack is 9.99, one off, no subscription.
The disputes it handles most are the boring high stress ones: heat network and heating failures, service charges, managing agent disputes, landlord disrepair, noise and anti social behaviour. A solicitor charges 150 plus for a letter like this. Same result for a few pounds.
It is not legal advice. It points you at the law and drafts the letter. I would like honest feedback on where it is weak, especially from anyone who has fought one of these disputes. What would make you trust a generated letter enough to actually send it?
Day 3 update. Everything you asked for on launch day is live.
Elifnur wanted deadline tracking. Every case now counts down the 8 week statutory response window. When they miss it, the case flips to overdue and offers to generate the escalation letter.
Can Turel asked for two things. Saved cases: come back to a dispute, paste whatever they have sent since, and the timeline and legislation update without you retyping anything. And PDF export of the analysis, so you can hand it to a solicitor or the Ombudsman.
Harun Tasci wanted to confirm who said what before the timeline gets built. There is now a review step after you paste. We split the thread into messages, you correct anything we got wrong, then it runs.
Senay Gundogdu asked about evidence. Upload a PDF invoice or repair report and it gets read into the same analysis and timeline.
One nobody asked for: you can now upload screenshots of a WhatsApp or email thread instead of pasting the text.
Analysis was also failing for some of you. That is fixed. Sorry if you hit it.
Analysis is still free. Letter is £4.99, full Ombudsman pack £9.99. No subscription.
Kardelen, Mesut, thanks for the kind words.
One thing that would make this even more useful for me would be the ability to upload a PDF or scan of a paper trail like invoices, repair reports or correspondence alongside the email thread. A lot of my evidence lives outside WhatsApp and being able to bundle it into the same analysis would save having to retype dates and quotes into the complaint letter.
@enaygndodut9tp This is exactly right. Most real disputes live in a shoebox of invoices, repair reports and letters, not just one email thread. Evidence upload is going on the roadmap: attach PDFs and scans, pull the dates and amounts out, and fold them into the same timeline so nothing gets retyped. Thanks Senay.
@enaygndodut9tp Update: shipped. You can now upload PDFs of invoices, repair reports and correspondence alongside the thread and the dates and amounts get folded into the same timeline, so nothing needs retyping. Scanned images are next. If your evidence shoebox gets a run through it, tell me what breaks.
Pasted a stubborn email thread with my landlord about a broken boiler and it pulled up the right regs plus a deadline I didn't even know existed, which is honestly more useful than the generic templates I've tried before.
@kardelen415764 This is exactly the case it was built for. Broken heating has some of the clearest law behind it, and the deadline you did not know existed is usually the landlord's repair window already running. If the response period passes without a proper fix, come back and generate the escalation. Glad it earned its keep, and thanks for testing it on a real dispute.
Would be useful to add a "save your case" option so you can come back and update the timeline or paste new messages from the same dispute without having to start from scratch each time. Also exporting the analysis as a PDF would make it easier to share with a neighbour or solicitor if needed.
@canturel1pwy Both of these are on the money. Disputes drag on for months, so starting from scratch every time a new email lands is a real flaw. Saved cases where you append new messages and regenerate the timeline is the plan, and a PDF export of the analysis makes sense for exactly the reason you give: showing a neighbour, a solicitor or the Ombudsman without them touching the tool. Thanks Can.
@canturel1pwy Update: both are live. Cases now save, so you can come back, paste new messages and the timeline regenerates without starting over. And the analysis exports as a PDF you can hand to a neighbour or solicitor. You asked yesterday, it shipped today. If the flow feels off anywhere I would rather hear it now than later.
One thing that would make this even better is a built in follow up tracker that pings you before the statutory deadlines pass and reminds you to escalate if the landlord or provider ignores the response.
@elifnur3asg That is a strong idea. The statutory clocks are where tenants lose leverage: the landlord ignores the first letter and the window to escalate to the Housing Ombudsman quietly passes. A tracker that flags when the response period lapses and surfaces the escalation letter fits the core job. Going on the roadmap. Thanks Elifnur.
@elifnur3asg Update: this is live. Cases now carry the statutory response deadline, show a countdown, and flag when the window lapses with a generate escalation option. You asked for it yesterday, it shipped today. If you get a chance to try it on a real dispute I would genuinely value hearing where it falls short.
honestly love that you cite the actual legislation and statutory deadlines right in the letter, kind of makes it hit different than just venting. really well thought out.
@mesuta55647 Thanks Mesut. That was the founding observation: an angry email is easy to ignore, a letter citing the exact section and a statutory deadline is not, because it signals you know the next step. The venting is free, the leverage is what gets results.
