Team at Product Hunt uses Notion, Zoom, Canva, Typeform, GitHub, Figma, Slack and 6 more apps. About 50 teams use Product Hunt. This, but for 300+ more tech teams :)
congrats on the launch! 🎉 When I first saw your site, I recall Stackshare as we at Thundra were using it a lot back then. So I was wondering, how companies.tools is different than Stackshare?
@ismailegilmez4 do you remember we even sponsored Stackshare to promote our product :)
@piril_kavlak aw snap!! how can I forget such a money loss :)
I'm also curious about how companies.tools differentiate itself from Stackshare?!

@ismailegilmez4@piril_kavlak that is a great question and one I get often as it makes sense
First of all – quality. They list everything, we curate and list only the best (we've received 5 submission today and might feature one of those). They also include tech stacks (technologies) while we concentrate just on the apps.
Secondly, we offer a widget that you can embed on a landing page that's going to dynamically show logos of your clients. We have high quality vector logos in two variations (glyph and wordmark) for each product listed and we keep them up to date with all rebrandings. That's our main value prop. More on this: https://www.companies.tools/stat...
Also, the source of our data are companies themselves. We reach out and ask them to submit apps their team uses–such teams have a yellow checkmark. The goal is to have close to 100% of these :) Not sure how Stackshare handles that.
Plus, Stackshare just feels all over the place, they have job posting, blog posts, members and feel a bit outdated. We've got our value prop narrowed down and hopefully give a more modern vibe

One more question for the curious side of me - Does your team have any plans to add a 'Add Myself' button alongside the 'Add product' button?
I would love to embed/list my tech stack on my personal website using the clean Widget your team has designed!

@jamesskon oh, that's a great question James. Currently teams like to just share a link to their page on careers/jobs pages to showcase what their prospects might be working with. But that's a great suggestion to think about.

@jamesskon oh, I think you meant like private pages for a single person instead of teams. My bad! That's not in our plans for the closest future but maybe down the road
@arsen_kolyba done. Looking forward to connecting with the team :)

Hi there PH! 👋
With my 3rd ever launch on Product Hunt I'm launching companies.tools. This one time I found a new interesting product that just launched and they had these big tech corporations in their "used by" section. I seriously doubted that and thought why is there no solution for this yet.
What if there was a website, that generated a dynamic widget that you could insert in your landing page that would only show logos of companies that said to use your product themselves.
This is what companies.tools is–it's where tech teams share which apps they use to research, design, code, market, gather feedback about their product and lots more. Every product gets it's own page where all the apps they use are displayed along with all the teams that use their product, it's quite simple really.
companies.tools is curated so only high quality apps can be published as of now. Teams from Loom, Sketch, Miro, Descript, Zapier, Height, Crisp and more importantly Product Hunt have been verified–and that's not even all of them! :)
Fun fact: all of this is built with no code, you can see with which apps on our companies.tools page (how meta!)
