Hi guys! The story behind this app is quite simple. Last year, I got my first MacBook and started using Safari as my default browser and I couldn't find the extensions I would normally use as a developer and designer. I wanted an extension that I could use to identify the colors of any website (images or web elements), so I decided to code it myself. The result is "Color Sense for Safari." It's an optimized Safari extension designed to detect any pixel or web element color on any website when using Safari. I hope it can be helpful for many people out there. I've also coded other Safari extensions, such as a font indentifier, a window resizer, a SVG picker, a CSS inspector, and more. You can check them out here: Safari Web Extensions If you have any comments, you can send me an email at: contact@safariwebextensions.com I wish you all the best in your projects and much success!

Hey Alfredo, How does it handle color accuracy across different displays? Do you plan to expand to other browsers? Congrats on the launch!
Alfredo
@kyrylosilin Hi Kyrylo! Thanks for your comment. Yes, it took us a while, but Color Sense is designed to offer high precision across many displays, including Retina displays. As for expanding to other browsers, we currently plan to focus on providing the best experience for Safari users. Safari Web Extensions

Congratulations on the launch! Does this work in Chrome? If not, do you have any plans to support it?
Alfredo
@semanser Hi Andriy! Thanks for your comment. Color Sense is available exclusively for Safari. We chose to focus on Safari because, while there are plenty of free color picker options available for Chrome, there was a lack of such tools for Safari. By filling this gap, we aim to provide Safari users with a robust and user-friendly color picker extension. Safari Web Extensions

Great job, Alfredo! One question for you: do you have any plans to integrate a color palette feature where users can save and organize their favorite colors? That would be super useful for ongoing projects Congrats again and best of luck!
Alfredo
@kszhebrovskaya Hi Ksenia! The option to save favorite color palettes is already available. We also think it’s a fantastic idea to allow users to organize their palettes into different categories, and it's very likely we'll add that feature in the future. Thanks again for your support and best wishes! Safari Web Extensions

What about Chrome?
Alfredo
@jsteneros Hi Johan! Thank you for your interest! Currently, Color Sense is only available for Safari. We've prioritized Safari because there are already numerous free color picker extensions for Chrome. We wanted to address the need for a high-quality color picker on Safari, where options were limited. Safari Web Extensions

Congratulations to the team behind Color Sense 2 on their launch on Product Hunt! As a designer, I'm constantly in awe of the power of color and its ability to evoke emotion, set the mood, and elevate the user experience. Color Sense 2 is an absolute game-changer in this space. The advanced AI-powered color palette generation is truly remarkable. I'm amazed by how the tool is able to analyze my inspiration images, understand the underlying color theory, and instantly suggest harmonious palettes that I would have never thought of on my own. The ability to experiment with different color schemes and see real-time updates is a game-changer. But what I love most about Color Sense 2 is how it goes beyond just palette generation. The detailed color analysis, accessibility checks, and brand consistency features empower me to make more informed, strategic decisions about my color choices. It's like having a color expert on my team, guiding me every step of the way. Kudos to the Color Sense team for creating such a comprehensive and user-friendly solution for designers of all levels. This is a must-have tool in my design toolkit, helping me unlock new creative possibilities and deliver visually stunning, impactful designs for my clients. I can't wait to see what other innovations you have in store!
