Hey everyone! I just wanted to share something I've been working on — it's called Clipboard Portal. It allows you to instantly send your current clipboard to another Mac user. It's a native macOS app with end-to-end encryption, and its source code is available on GitHub. Story: The idea came from doing a lot of pair programming with a friend, and we needed a super-fast way to share data between our Macs. The built-in Apple feature only works if you're using the same Apple ID, so we built this as an alternative. After launching the app, we even got some coverage from iFun (German article) and Applech2 (Japanese article). It also works as an AirDrop replacement since you can send files and you don't even need to be on the same Wi-Fi network. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Congrats on the launch! This looks like a great solution for quick data sharing. Do you have plans to support other operating systems or just sticking with macOS for now ?

@jonathanedwardbrooks Thanks! It will only support MacOS for the foreseeable future. I don't even know if Apple's encryption libraries I use for the end-to-end encryption would be available on Windows 😅

Hey @pal_sch! Clipboard Portal sounds like a super handy tool, especially for quick data sharing during pair programming. Totally get the struggle with Apple ID restrictions. Does it support large file transfers too? Congrats on the launch!

@robertthomas2 Thank you! That's what it's made for 😄🎉 Currently, there is no artificial restriction on file size and I've successfully tested it with up to a few 100MB.
