I'm really stoked to offer Product Hunters exclusive access to our next product: Connect. Connect surfaces personal and company information right inside your Gmail next to every conversation. If you've missed the old Rapportive, then this is the answer you've been looking for. Connect will also let you find any business email address, so no more trawling through sites or guessing emails. Just hit that blue Clearbit logo when composing an email. Behind the scenes Connect uses the technology and dataset powering's APIs. We're offering Connect exclusively to Product Hunters today. This is an early product for us and we're still figuring out how it fits in our product line. However, anyone who signs up today will always have free access.

@maccaw hey Alex love the way you've been taking Clearbit over the last year or so! Quick question - when you connect gmail it asks for permission to view your contacts, I'm sure that's required for the functionality but do you pull these into cb to further improve your dataset?

@maccaw Great work here! I love the design and how easy it is to use.
@maccaw Thanks! Curious how this compares to Nimble contacts?
@tommoor @maccaw Agree on that. There should be more clear details on whether Clearbit Connect is storing (or using) submitted email records in any way.
Great work on this, very valuable product @maccaw
Rapportive was useful. Clearbit Connect is really really useful. Finding any business email address feels like magic. If you aren't using this yet, get on it! It's worth it.

@tommoor @lorendsr Good question! Part of the deal with using Connect is that you share your contacts with us. It's essentially a give-to-get model. This helps us improve our algorithms making our data better for the entire community. We're taking a very careful approach to this, we realize it's a sensitive area. Definitely open for feedback!

@maccaw @tommoor @lorendsr are you sending and storing the full emails to your servers? Or just extracting the contact info?
@maccaw @lorendsr It seems like a fair swap to me - i'd just be super careful about making sure folks realise this is the deal πŸ˜„
Does it work for Inbox?

@azazo Not yet, but we're thinking about a minimalist version for Inbox. Stay tuned :)
@mattsornson @azazo Bump here - would love to see for Inbox. Power users like myself would love this.
@azazo they just launched inbox support today
@aloo awesome, look forward to checking it out
Been using this for a while and it's great. Definitely the best Rapportive replacement. But the sneaky good prospecting tool is super handy for sleuthing out emails that would otherwise take a while to track down.
